Following our recent informal survey in the 3 August DWPub Sporadic, there has been a mixed response to the issue of enquiries beyond the usual requests for help with editorial.
We suggested examples such as award entry invitatons and requests for prizes or reader gifts. The feedback from many was that if enquiries are not pure requests for help on editorial then they are OK as long as they provide a genuine opportunity for PR professionals. However a smaller but nontheless significant proportion of people were more averse to these kinds of enquiries.
We're going to stick to our our current Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) but would welcome more feedback on this subject - please email Vanessa on vanessa@dwpub.com.
